Day
1 - Auckland - Arrive
After clearing customs and immigration, you are
transferred from Auckland Airport to your Auckland central city
accommodation.
The rest of the day is free to explore Auckland - the city of sails.

Day 2 - Auckland to Waitomo Caves and Rotorua
This morning you are picked up from
your accommodation by luxury scenic coach for a scenic journey from
Auckland and to the magical Waitomo Caves. Here you will have
a guided tour of the caves, before taking a short boat ride along
the river to the grotto. Be enchanted by the thousands of glow worms
emitting tiny lights that twinkle in the darkness. Later, you travel
onto Rotorua, passing through the Fitzgerald Glade, a section of
highway where native bush forms a canopy overhead. In the evening
you might like to experience a Maori hangi (a traditional barbecue) and
concert (at own expense).

Day 3 - Rotorua
This morning explore Rotorua's geothermal wonderland and discover
the unique culture of New Zealand's Maori people. Enjoy a guided
tour of Te Puia, see Rainbow Springs and watch the Agrodome Sheep
Show. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Day 4 - Rotorua to Wellington
There is more stunning scenery on offer today as you travel by coach
to Wellington, passing Lake Taupo, descending up to the North Island's central plateau passing the the mighty volcanoes of Mt
Ruapheu, Mt Tongariro and Mt Ngauruhoe, desending to
the Manawatu Plains to Palmerston North and the Kapiti
Coast to Wellington - the harbour capital.
Day 5 - Wellington via Picton to Kaikoura
This morning, travel by Inter Islander Ferry, via Cook Strait to
Picton. Then it’s all aboard the Coastal Pacific train to Kaikoura.
This is a spectacular scenic train journey that passing through stunning
coastal scenery and rugged mountain ranges.
Day 6 - Kaikoura to
Christchurch
The highlight this morning is a whale watching tour by boat
or light aircraft. See the gentle giants of the sea and be
thrilled as the giant sperm whales breach, and watch the
dolphins and seals at play. Later in the afternoon you will
travel to Christchurch for over night stay in Christchurch -
the Garden city.

Day 7 - Christchurch to Mt Cook/Aoraki and Queenstown
This morning you board your luxury scenic coach (optional accommodation
pickup is available) for a fascinating one-way day
trip from Christchurch to Queenstown via Mt Cook/Aoraki,
traveling through the fertile farmland of the Canterbury
Plains ascending up Burkes Pass to the desert alpine landscape of
the MacKenzie basin to the shores of the stunning,
glacier-fed Lake Tekapo, where you can view the solitary
Church of the Good Shepherd, the glacier lake of Lake Pukaki, New Zealand's tallest mountain Aoraki
(Mt Cook), situated in a national park and UNESCO World
Heritage Site for a lunch stop. Optional lunch can be
prebooked.
After lunch travel from Mt Cook/Aoraki, descending down through the
Lindis Pass and through the rugged Karweu Gorge to
Queenstown.
Day 8 - Milford Sound Day Excursion
Travel along Lake Wakatipu beneath Remarkables to Te Anau. See
the Mirror Lakes and continue past Christie Falls. Enter the Homer
Tunnel, drilled through the solid rock of a mountain. Cruise along
Milford Sound where you'll see Mitre Peak and rock walls rising
1200m vertically from the sea. Re-board your coach for a Queenstown
return. Optional lunch on cruise available.
Day 9 - Queenstown/Franz Josef Glacier
Travel along Lake Wanaka to Haast Pass. Pass through Central
Otago and the majestic peaks of the Southern Alps with its
rivers and rainforests. Continue up the West Coast past mountain
ranges, native forests and lakes to Fox and Franz Josef
Glaciers. Franz Josef Glacier is a 'living river of ice', 11
kilometers long and over 7,000 years old.
Day 10 - Franz Josef/Greymouth/Arthur's
Pass/Christchurch
Travel along the West Coast to Shantytown, a reconstructed Gold
Rush town and then to Greymouth, where you board the TranzAlpine
train to
Arthur's Pass and Christchurch.

Day 11 - Christchurch - Leave
It is time to say goodbye as you are transferred from
